Here is another #actionhero AC client Cheri checking in In the summer of 2010 I took my first steps through the doors of Action Conditioning. Little did I know the journey I was about to take! I soon met my amazing coach Chad Brandt whom I thought was an evil drill sergeant at first but now would only think of as my friend. I remember the day when he called me an athlete and I giggled to myself, me? I would never have dreamt of calling myself such a thing! With much hard work and coaching I have indeed found my inner athlete! With 2 figure competitions under my belt I most recently set my sights on the Tri Fit World Challenge in Florida. What a great decision! Not only have I shed my fears of trying new things, I found out I love the challenge and the pride I gain from just trying. I have learned many things about myself during this journey, the most important one being not to doubt myself. If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place. #Actionhero Action Client Jody checking in :-) Last fall, I decided I wanted to compete in the Tri-Fitness Challenge again and this started quite the journey for me. My coach, Chad Brandt, set up my training programs and nutrition plans. I learned to dig deep with my workouts and to work out smarter and get out of my comfort zone. I learned to trust the nutrition plans I was given and to understand why I fell off the wagon and eventually how to focus and be successful. The competition itself was empowering, rewarding and just plain fun! Setting and attaining a goal is all about what you learn along the way, what you are capable of doing (very cool) and then wondering about what you can do next! #builtataction #teamaction

I see and hear this too often. People are stoked to get a coach, have great workouts, get on a prescribed macro nutrition plan and tell you they are going to kill it:-) As a coach you have heard this many times before and you want them to succeed so bad!!! What you see off the bat, they kill their workouts, smash their cardio, motivated, but then proceed to try to explain to you that macro math is impossible and they cannot do it. So I made this little meme up to break the ice and tell everyone out their YOU CAN DO IT if you put some effort into it and learn :-) Stay positive and make progress every day! Make mistakes, this is how you learn!
